Rules and Policies

Any House Rules we apply will be listed here, or linked to this page.

Our view on House Rules is that we tend to use the book rules as-written (RAW) as a general policy. The exception to this is XP, because online chat-room XP does not, and should not, correspond directly to tabletop-game XP. We’re trying to make things reasonable and fair, and those will be our two watchwords moving forward.

If a need for a new House Rule arises, all players will be given a bit of time to become compliant with the rule if needed. For example, if your character has to buy something ICly to be in compliance with the new rule, you’ll have a reasonable amount of time in which to do it. Just ask, if it comes up. I don’t expect it to be an issue, but if it is, let’s talk about it!

Character sheet templates

We do require character sheets be posted openly; if you have a secret you would like to keep that way, please poke a staffer for advice on how to show that on a sheet. We also ask that you track XP expenditures on the sheet or on a linked page somewhere.

  • Mr. Gone‘s site is probably the gold standard for blank sheets of all sorts; check them out. Most are editable PDFs, so you can just edit them online and upload them, and voila.
  • Kryane’s WoD Character Creator program lets you fill in a template and it will generate a PDF for you. Note that the sheets can get a little messy-looking, but it’s a decent solution if you update your sheet a lot. It’s suggested that you pay $5 for it, which makes it an inexpensive option.
  • Google sheet templates done by Mel are available here; just copy them to your own drive and go to town!
  • Jim’s templates for Mage sheets. Werewolf sheets, and Changeling sheets are also available.
  • We will be hosting our own plain-text sheet templates here for you to edit and post if you prefer something simple or want to Wiki it once we get a Wiki up and running. I haven’t put these together yet, but I will in short order.
