The Anywhere Café is a coffee shop/restaurant/bar that exists in the Horizon. It’s one of the few parts of the Horizon left intact after the chaos of the Horizon War, and it’s a cozy bed-and-all-day-breakfast kind of place.
They serve simple and hearty fare, along with breakfast, and have a full vegan/vegetarian menu as well. The daily specials are the only place where the menu gets at all adventurous, with international dishes of many sorts offered. The food is made entirely of Horizon-grown produce, vat-grown meats and fish (making even the steaks vegan!), and conjured additions. The head chefs are a Boggan/Ecstatic couple.
The bar offers all kinds of coffee, tea, and cocoa drinks, including dairy-free ones, as well as soft drinks, several tap beers and specially-chosen wines. The bar side of the place offers hard liquor and other legal substances. (What’s legal is entirely dependent on the laws of the realm!)
It’s run by a coalition of entities of various sorts, all of them Mage-friendly. It has existed for centuries in various guises and under various names; the proprietor changed names and faces to match as time goes on, but they will always answer to “Lucien” or “Lucia” depending on which gender they are at the moment. Nobody’s sure exactly what they are. Currently, Lucien is male most of the time.
Earning a token is a matter of finding the right person to impress, or doing a favor for the right entity, or possibly just befriending someone who’s a regular. Regulars can bring guests, who may be given their own tokens if they are welcome.
