House Rules: New paths

I have added a few new paths for your use here; most are mine, which I am playtesting here in the room. Sorcerers with the new Umbral Journeys path I created will be able to teleport to and from the Anywhere Café once they have a token of entry. Other sorcerers can accompany an Umbral Journeys sorcerer, or use a portal from a chantry. Paths are linked in the list below.

I will also be supporting the new, original paths that appear in Sorcerer’s Companion. To see the paths in Sorcerer’s Companion, you should buy the supplement. It’s really quite inexpensive and it supports a member of our community, Chris Falco.

  • These new paths will have the same costs as any other, and you can create new rituals for any path you possess.
  • I don’t limit Sorcerers on how many paths they can take, but note that you need a separate casting ability for each one. You can’t double-dip.
  • Sorcerers can use many kinds of Wonders, so long as they do not demand an Arete roll.

Member-Made Paths

  • Beastform – this is a variant on Shapeshifting that gives only beast forms, but gives more power in the long term in using them. (by Chance)
  • Floromancy – This is a plant-based path of sorcery created by Falco.
  • Mimicry – this is a variant on Shapeshifting that gives only human forms, but gives more power in the long term in using them. (by Chance)
  • Umbral Journeys – This is a way to travel the Umbra as a sorcerer. (by Chance)
