Character Creation: Shifter

Shifter Creation is by the book template in all cases; higher-than-starting-level shifters are also allowed within reason. Most Garou will be directed to the Rage Across Louisville subsetting; other shifters have a bit more freedom depending on type and intent.

For a starting-level character, the template is as follows:

Garou

  • 12 Tribes only; no Stargazers or ‘of the East’ variants.
  • Attributes 7/5/3
  • Abilities 13/9/5
  • Backgrounds 5
  • Gifts: 3 (1 each for auspice, breed, and tribe)
  • Willpower, Gnosis, Rage per breed, auspice, and Tribe
  • Freebies: 15

  • Homid Nuwisha can learn homid Garou Gifts, and latrani Nuwisha can learn lupus Gifts. Any Nuwisha can learn Ragabash Gifts. Players choose three Gifts when making Nuwisha: one breed Gift, and two general Nuwisha Gifts.
  • Gnosis per breed.
  • Nuwisha do not normally possess Rage, and cannot frenzy.
  • All Nuwisha begin with 4 Willpower.
  • Players can use freebie points to buy the required Totem Background for those that cost more than five dots.

Ratkin

  • Backgrounds 5. Ratkin may not purchase the Allies, Ancestors or Pure Breed Backgrounds. They also cannot purchase more than 2 dots of Resources.

  • Rage per Freak Aspect.
  • Ratkin begin play with 3 Willpower.
